I guess it's just a testament to how spotty the supply can be, but all three came from the same tank in the same store, albeit in two trips. One of the first ones I got died pretty quick, so I got a replacement. I'm not sure if the oddball is the replacement or not. I wish I could find more, move these guys to a bigger tank and give them lots of buddies, but Kuhlis seem to be a hard to find fish anymore. The small store I bought these from just went out of business, and none of the bigger stores around carry them. Petsmart has black kuhlis, or at least a sign for them, but almost never have any in stock.
