If 100 people gave just 10 dollars.

I think the bigger problem is when I give money for donations, I want it to help someone who really needs it...Not just someone who wants bigger better faster for their hobby. I give to charities, like those that take care of homeless pets and kids, donate to local battered and abused shelter, and every year help buy Christmas presents for needy kids. Helping someone who just wants a tank bigger than they can afford...Well, that's not really meeting a 'need', is it? I'd rather know some little kid is going to have a better Christmas, or a enough to eat.

my thoughts exactly.

while i agree with your thinking because i myself am not finacialy stable enough to own the tank of my dreams ...it is a great idea and maybe should be set up by an application proscess though that way whomever donates can be assured that they are helping a fellow aquarist who would really love having a tank of their dreams but it will not happen in their lifetime because of financial, health, or other reasons ..it is a noble gesture and the responses that were given where some what imature but since the powers that be here are asking for donations to keep the sight running maybe the first donations should go there and then after this sight is safe and secure we could use part of the donations to mantian this sight and the other part of the donations towards making dreams come true ...wouldn't it be awesome to recieve such a gift! imagine the feeling of owning your own hundred gallon that you longed for. those of you who have already know that feeling, why not share the feelings and then there is the good samariton rule as well ...it always comes back.
