i have also read that people put a plate on the bottom and put the food on that...makes it very easy for the frog to find...as i said i just read it i do not know if it really works
I feed mine with a dropper, he actualy take the blackworms right out of the dropper when it's feeding time. He is in a tank with my newts and I feed each one of them with the dropper with worms in it.
I just use chopsticks to feed frozen bloodworms directly to my frogs. Also makes it easier for the greedy betta to not take it all first. This takes 2 mins tops and isn't messy at all, unless dipping your hand into the water counts as messy. I have not seen my frogs eat any other foods, but occasionally one of the frogs will peck at a sinking pellet that I use to feed my corys. But yes, it's much easier to get them to eat live/frozen foods than pellets.
