So there I was High Tech finally algae under control, green things everywhere just enough green algae to feed the inverts and ottos, and I had to go and try to remove excess phosphates :mad2:. 1 week later and lo and behold the dreaded BBA attacks. time to rebuild the super excess phosphates that i worried about to even out the balance.:swear:

I think you'd be better off focusing on CO2, and using less, not more light.

I add 5ppm 3x a week of PO4 to my tanks:

Falsifies the claim that PO4 causes algae.
Note, does not say what causes algae, only it cannot possibly be.

Everything was fine after I finally got the CO2 running then I decided to "remove" phosphates (Off the scale used to measure them) and it all went to hell. I have since stopped removing the phosphates and will see what the BBA and Red hair algae looks like in a day or two before i fiddle with something else.
