If I were to go community... Probably

Cutteri,
Sajica,
Coryphaenoides,
Heros Rotkeil,
Some Red Hooks, 4-5....
A few Bushynose,
And Festivums 5-9 of these :)

I would probably attempt pairs of a couple of the above...

If I were to go the direction my 250 is.... Cichla... that pretty much locks it up :D
 
To differ away from the cichlids, how about several schools of assorted rainbows; Boesmani, Dwarf Neon, etc.....Would be very colorful, active and allow lots of room for a school of something for the "bottom".....(altho, if it were me, I would go for the Sevs!) :evil_lol:

OH, god, drooling all over myself. Wow. Yeah, I'd totally get a pleco for the bottom. Perhaps an L018, L260 (aka Queen Arabesque), L333, L025 (Scarlet Pleco), or L024 (flame pleco).

I might also have a school of some sort of corydoras.

I'd totally have a couple pairs of kribensis, bolivian rams, maybe apistos. I'd have a pair of angelfish, probably koi or another lighter/brighter color rather than black or smoky. And at least a school of 20+ Diamond tetras and a school of 20+ Congo tetras! I think

I also agree with Amazon Biotope .. centerpiece, I would lean towards Discus, Angels bright and colorful.. these will greet you at the tank..they are aquatic pigs :lipssealedsmilie:.
you could also look to some Geos as an alternative
 
I'd have about 40 cories, clown loaches, a big shoal of congo tetras. 20 marbled hatchett fish
These ar all easy fish i know, but i saw a massive shoal of julii cories and it was the best display i have ever seen.

Add some festivum, chocolate cichlids, farlowella cats, harlequin rasboras
 
Check out Archocentrus nanoluteus, they are very cool, very colorful little cichlids that can get along well in a community setting.
 
Either an arowana or a tanganyikan biotype with a huge colony of multis, several calvus, juli pair, and a big school of cyps
