Its been a few months since I posted my last question about mystery snails...and things are going great. Chemistry all stable and havent lost a fish in months. Ive got a 55 gallon freshwater with mostly tets in it....and 4 catfish...and thats why Im posting tonight. I was preparing to do a 10% water change last night when I spotted something on the bottom of the tank among the heavy foliage. I put my glasses on and what do I find? A baby Tall Fin Cory Cat! Only one spotted so far, so I dont know if the rest of the brood didnt survive or maybe they are in deep hiding. I have one tall Fin and a peppered Cory that have paired up and apparently HOOKED UP! The tall fin seems to have been passed on to the baby. Heres a cellphone pic of the proud father??? and the baby. Totally surprised! This guy seems to be about 1/2 inch long. Any guesses on how old he/she is?

No idea on the age but that's awesome! Congrats! It is so cute.

Adorable :D

Awe...surprising it got this large w/o being noticed...have no idea on age, but must at least be a month or two?

The tank is heavily planted including a very large moss thing, and it is hiding in there. I poked around and it seems there is only one. I will take some more pics shortly with a real camera. I run two power filters. A fluval and some other one from walmart that is constant headaches...thus the dual set up.

My tank

This is my tank, the baby and parents are using the moss monster on the right side of the pic for shelter. Its a LOT bigger than this pic shows.
