I'm a newbie here and have a question

RTS are super-agressive to most bottom fish.

6 Guppies (4 female, 2 male)
6 Cories
8 Danios
2 Dwarf Gouramis
1 Clown Pleco

You have a bit more room, maybe even for a school of 8 small tetras, IMO.

Yes, but remember cories eat leftover food, algae wafers, and shrimp pellets, and plecos eat algae, algae wafers, and the occasional blanched zuchini/cucumber.
so that setup for me is good. i no i have gouramis as my fish that swims in the middle you said i could add one extra species what would you suggest i also like any fish that looks like a shark lol even though they maybe agressive are there any fresh water fish that look like sharks that i could add since i have room

i would skip the bottom filter... if you're getting a kit then it should come with a "whisper" or "top fin" filter anyway, and that will be enough. bottom filters (or undergravel filters) are more trouble than they're worth in most people's opinion... just save the money for a stand... other than that just read up about fishless cycling., and get your water/filter ready to go (could take a while) and then when it's time, start with the fish.

i think we can all agree that getting a bigger tank is great if you have the funds to do so.

congrats! and welcome to the hobby!!
thanks lol yea i havent bought anything yet i need to buy the necesities pretty soon and get the tank running before i get the fish

I was thinking Neon/Cardinal/Lemon/Black Neon tetras x8. You could have maybe 4-6 Kuhli Loaches, snake/eel-like. Don't know of anything shark-like.

you can have a single angelfish in a 29 gallon. they dont need to be ing roups and will do fine on their own.

with an angel, you can have a school of 8 lemon tetras and a group of four schwartz's corydoras.

can you have an angel 6 guppies 5 zebra danios 4 leopard corys

I was given some really giid advice when buying my first tank - ALWAYS buy the biggest you can afford because you WILL at some point overstock, or want another fish, or see something thta would go SO well in your tank! The other reason of course is that understaocked is better than overstocked; the more room your fish have the happier they 9and you) will be - for $40.00 would go with the bigger tank.....

You couldn't do them all

How about...

5 guppies
5 danios
5 platies
2 dwarf gouramis
3 rosy barbs
