After a 2-3 yr Hiatus from the forum (but not from fishkeeping), I am back. I used to be "Brain", now I'm not.
I'm 51 YO, live in Portland, OR, and am in charge of environmental and safety compliance for the company I work for (among other things). I live with my wife and 16 YO son (who just became an eagle scout), and a 5 month old Pug. I also play guitar and flyfish (catch and release, natch).
I've kept fish (freshwater) off and on for the past 30 years, and for the past 6 have had a 50 and a 25 gallon setup. The 25 was my first planted tank, and I've had enough success with it that I am finally ditching the 50 for a 70 that will be planted. My Loaches and Rainbowfish are gonna love that!
Looking forward to getting back with this community, as it has always been an incredibly useful source of information. I tend to lurk a lot, post a little, and LOL at the trolls, pompous experts, and jerks that all forums like this usually have a few of.
