I'M DONE!!!!!!

pour the water out, and rince with bleach, KIll all snails you have. The End, I hope

Copper bonds to the silicone and if you use it once in a tank, it will always be in that tank. Copper kills invertebrates.

Sorry but i disagree. I used it about 2 years ago several times and i have happy snails and shrimp now. I used it beacuse of a unwanted type of snail.

I can't keep snails. I see them in the plants and I throw them right in there. I have Rosey and gold barbs, plus loaches.

I tried an apple snail once and the rosey barb killed it.

it may seem odd, but try adding an apple snail. I recently acquired a hermadiphoric snail in a bunch of moneywort I purchased, and it busily went around laying egg cases. well, my resident columbian ramshorn snail quickly and completely devoured each egg case he found. I don't know if any survived, but I presume he may attemt to eat any baby snails, too. I have moved the snail to my 5G, as they are beneficial to aquariums IME and I want them there to help control algae.

I do not reccomend had-a-snail. it does contain copper sulfate and will kill inverts IME. also try emptying out a 20 ounce soda bottle and sticking a lettuce leaf inside it. it works better than the leaf alone because only snails can enter and no one else can, and the snails have trouble leaving once they enter.

like I said I don't really know. mine devoured the eggs, but i can't speak for all mystery/apple snails.

On another site, one member placed a plastic cup in the tank and added some shrimp pellets as the snails love them. She removed the cup in the morning full of snails. I had a prob but added 3 yo yo loaches to the tank and all snails were gone in 2 weeks. Well, then the cories were being bothered by the yo yo's so I ended up spending a couple hundred dollars to move a 29 without cories into a 38 with the yo yo's. So, do the same thing, you'll end up with a bigger tank!!!!!

Aww, just leave them. They get rid of algae, and make a nice snack for little fishies. My guppies and betta especially love the slimy egg sacs. Num num. I would not put anything in the tank that has copper in it. Bad bad bad! If you MUST remove them use the veggie method.
