Well...the piece of live rock that had the bristle worm on it has been moved to my 55gal. FOWLR set up that I'm cycling now. I kinda liked the little guy, but I realized today that the rock that he is on has been placed upside down (where he was coming out) and is in the sand now. Will he eventually move or will he die from being buried in the sand? I would like to keep him, so if being upside in the sand will kill him, I'll rearrange the rock and turn it over.
Do these things ever completely come out of the rock? I've only seen maybe 2" of him, but I know he's got to be a lot bigger than that. Will they move from rock to rock across the sand? I'd like to catch him out one time to see it.
Most of the time, I only see the front part, extended from a hidey hole. I have seen them completely out at night a few times.
