hello,
i kinda fell into this by accident...
just a couple of weeks ago, i was strolling through wal-mart, looking for some socks and maybe a house-plant or two, and i wound up looking at the fish in the pet department. a classic sucker for incredibly cute animals, i immediately fell in love with the green spotted puffers that were there on display. so i purchased the best-looking one (along with the small array of accessories i was assured would suffice), and went home knowing almost nothing about keeping fish, much less a brackish water, ammonia-sensitive, high pH lovin tank-tyrant like the GSP.
and now, though it has only been a short time since i aquired him; i am many hours deep in research on my new friend, have upgraded my whole setup to suit the specific needs of a young GSP, and have sworn of off wal-mart in favor of my local fish store (duh).
i am now happily obsessed with this facinating hobby and look forward to learning from the more experienced fish owners on aquaria central.
