im gunna set these stupid fish on fire

Congo tetras are my favorite tetra, hands down. While a bit drab at most LFSs, as your picture shows, they really color up, and they'll get better finnage and more color with time.

I'm glad they came around and decided to spend time off the bottom. Did you have to slap one around to make an example of him or did they decide to behave on their own?

they perk up on their own. it was just really funny watching them try to shoal with the cories. the emeralds would dart to one end of the tank and their would be a stream of tetras after them. then of course the cories would start to shoal mid level and the tetras would be cowering in the corner.

stupid fish :P
 
I feel you pain. I had five white finned rosy tetras (scratch that 4 thanks to one of my female Dp's) that stay on the bottom behind the driftwood when I'm at the tank unless it's feeding time. my other fish are always front and center. They are the biggets and the scaredest.

they are beginning to be bolder. its still funny though. one of the cories will go darting to the far end of the tank from the tetras and one will chase after the cory till about halfway down before it realizes its swimming with the wrong fish and swims back to the group.

right now they are looking for food and are getting really agitated and ard darting all over their end of the tank
 
My neons seem to be behaving aggressively towards one another and harassing each other. I hope it's just them establishing a pecking order. Also, they ignore food I put in the tank for some reason.

I didn't realize congo tetrsas were that pretty. Every time I have seen them in the pet store they looked rather boring. I think I will have to give them a try.
