I'm loosing my tank guys!!!!!!!!

Lady G sorry for your loss
this nearly happened to me last summer(this summer isn't here yet)

I did lose a bunch of my Zoas but I was abler to save most everything else.

btw I use RO/DI in the bottles..just in case one leaks. I keep several in the freezers.

I usually set them in the fuge ..the fuge is in the stand and there is a large high speed cooling fans(lucky me i work in a field where I can get cooling fans from server racks)

sorry to hear this g! we all been there and you know it wouldnt hurt to start all over!
i was so glad my little sister actually did something smart
she saw two frozen water bottles in my fridge and put them in my tank when my tank hit 86 degrees.

Thank you guys...sorry haven't been back over here, cause well...I was aggrivated. Anyway yep, I guess I'll be pretty much starting over.

So sorry lady G. We had to buy a window unit for the back part of our house...we are in NC and have no central air. Rarely gets hot enough for it but when it does...watch out. I know that there are such things as aquarium chillers on the market...don't know how expensive they are. Our window unit was about 200.00...might be cheaper than a chiller!?

My tank hit 87 today...I just put ice packs in the sump...how much time is a safe time for the temperature to drop and how much in that time? IE 2 degrees over 24 hours or something like that...thanks.
