IMPORTANT fish info needed(shark catfish, danios)

I recently purchased 5 danios(i dont know what kind they are but theyre blue with red tailfins), and two black finned sharks. The sharks stick together but theyre swimming near the top of the tank, theyre in freshwater as they were sold to me is there any tips or facts on how to keep them in good health?. The danios, i just wanna know what kind they are, theyre like a half inch bright blue with a red tail section.

I had about 11 bala sharks and they got a fin disease, trying to avoid similar situations

the black fin sharks are large growing active catfish that will need marine conditions (or at least high end brackish) as adults.
 
Without photos a danio identification will be tough. Could be Celestial Pearl.

Eventually, they will be catfish chow.
 
they already are, they were neon tetras. Still dont know why the sharks
keep swimming at the top
 
IMPORTANT: We need PIC's. There are alot of fish out there that can sound the same.

That will do alot for getting you your question answered.

Here's some questions for you, that 99% of the people here are going to be curious about...

1. What size of tank do you have?
2. How long has it been set up?
3. What are the water parameters? (Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, KH, GH and if you have money to burn, TDS[Actually could have something to test this with your losses already]) But I aint gonna say that cause it'd just be mean, and we all start somewhere. And I coulda bought a few tds checkers by now.
4. Filter(s)?
5. Etc's?

I went ahead and asked all of that, because of the Bala's mentioned.

If you have no way of taking pictures of your fish. Try that google searching thing, under images of danios, etc. And see if anything looks Alot like your fish. Then leave us a links.

i got the 55 gallon tank, 2 black finned shark(columbian shark catfish), 2 swordtails(male and female), one of those fat goldfish, like 7? guppies, like 8? glass shrimp( 2 are bigger than my fish), 3 mollys, pleco, a chinese algae eater, and 4 neon tetras. everythings going good with them, im just a little confused on when the guppies and shrimp will get eaten cuz i dont want them over-running the tank. female swordtail is aggressive towards the goldfish, and kind of aggresive to the two smaller mollys, but not the guppies shrimp or tetras.

yea, the shark catfish sometimes swim to the bottom and chase everything around for like fifteen seconds. then right back at the , but theyve nabbed a couple tetras guppies and i think 1 shrimp...not sure
