I realize many of you don't know me and many of you don't care, but I have to put this somewhere and I know there are a few who have wondered. So...
As summer vacation comes to a close for my younger two children tomorrow, I reflect on the last few months of my life. I have had quite a few things happen while I have been away. Many are the reasons I have been away. I have found that I have wasted much time by farming and frontiering on Facebook among many other useless pastimes. Trying to avoid thinking too deeply about them. I can no longer do so. I will try to keep this somewhat chronological.
First, in the spring, I had this brilliant idea to try and sell and ship fancy goldfish. Which I failed. The majority of those fish did not make it. Which I am ashamed to say. I do have a few of them in my 110 gal pond. I am no longer in the fancy goldfish shipping business.
Next, my children got out of school for summer vacation. They both took swimming lessons. During one of my son's lessons, my 9 year old daughter went with a couple of her friends over to the playground. Without going into too much detail, there was a 14 year old boy who attempted to molest my child. Fortunately, nothing permanently damaging happened to my child as the kid was interrupted by my 23 year old daughter. We went to the police station and charges were filed. Examinations had to be made. Video taping of testimony, etc. Come to find out this kid has been raping his little sister for years and it was only found out by me pressing charges on what he attempted with my daughter.
Soon after all of this my husband was laid off of work. He now is back to work for a short period of time, but who knows.
Next my 23 year old daughter asks that her wedding be here instead of Virginia where originally planned. So in 2 months I completely planned a wedding and reception. The plans also included them moving up here. They were married on 14 August and are now living here with us.
This puts my husband, me, my 9 year old, my 5 year old, my 23 year old and her husband, my 3 dogs (2 labs and a beagle), her 2 dogs (2 labs), my 12 fish tanks and pond all together.......real cozy in my 3 bedroom home.
Life has been crazy these last few months and I am sure they will continue to be so, but I am now trying to pick up the pieces of my fish business and to actively participate in this forum that I dearly love.
