Yeah, aquabid seems like a viable option. The shipping is killer on live fish, though! I may wait until it gets a little warmer and pay less for priority shipping.

Check out petsmart every once in a while. Every month they seem to get in an oddity. I saw peacocks in our area about 2 months ago for 9$ a piece. They also had gardneris for 6$ last month. I generally try and stay away from supermegapetshop, but sometimes i drop in to see if they have anything worth while.

Thanks. As I said in the original post, I've had nothing but bad luck with gouramis, so I'm looking to go in a different direction this time. The Peacock Gudgeons are very tempting. I think that's the direction that I might go.

What about something like a Madagascar rainbow? Or there are some beautiful killifish around, whose colours would look great against that background, but I don't know much about them (except my golden panchax, which is a great fish!)
