Hello folks,
I answered a request for reasonable pricing on water sprite, pennywort and offered some christmas moss instead of moss balls. $10 for the plants and $6 for shipping. She said she had limited fund and offered $13. I accepted and sent them priority mail to a zip code within 20 miles. I added a few stems of rotalia and frogbit as extras. She pmed me back that my packing was sub standard and everything except 2 items were dead. She demanded a partial refund. What should I do?

I would replace or refund, I'm not that far (Quakertown) and with the 90+ days we've been having if not insulated the plants can cook by someones back door waiting for them to get home. I ship plants to my daughter in VA it takes anywhere from 2-4 days for her to get them. The first time I sent a gallon bag of hornwort in a USPS box it made it in 2 days, but was mush on arrival. The second shipment I sent was 8 gallon bags, 2 of hornwort, 1 of frogbit, and a bunch of other stuff I sent this in a homemade insulated box. It was in transit 4 days and everything was fine except for the frogbit that turned to mush. I think this was due to the fact I packed that too tightly, as the fogbit mixed in with the other plants were fine.
I don't know how you packed your shipment, but this is my experence shipping plants to a source I trust the feeback from.

I would caution about furthering this discussion in open forums. It would be best to pm for advice etc. I am more than happy to offer any advice as needed, but it would be best to be cautious of potentially flaming anybody or skewing perspectives. It can be tricky shipping in this heat, and also expecatations can sometimes be on different levels from seller to buyer.
