I want to start selling off my daughter's marbled crayfish again, but I need a complete list of ALL the states that marbled crayfish are illegal in.

So far I managed to gather a few states, but I want to make sure I get as many as possible.

If I missed any state(s), please post so I can add it to the list.
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Nevada
  • Utah
  • Oregon

Classifed thread will be up next week.

Anyone know about Montana, or Texas? I did some research on the internet, but keep getting mixed results for both states.

Update List

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Nevada
  • Utah
  • Oregon
  • Wisconsin
  • Washington

Leave it up to humans to ruin a perfectly good food source.

I'm surprised Florida isn't on the list, seeing what a haven it is here for invasives.

So far Florida still allows marbled crayfish. :)
From the information that I gathered from other members & and on the internet, most of the east cost states allow marbled crayfish, while most of the states on the west coast have banned them.
I figured it would be the other way around.

Thanks. : ) Congrats on getting the electric blue crayfish.
They are beautiful crays, and are one of my personal favorite's.

They are illegal in Texas . Interesting fact where the species is native the slef cloning variation does not survive . But in other area's with no competition or less aggresive species they can whipeout the natives like they have done in places in Europe .

I do not think all those states have the marbled crayfish as illegal in fact http://www.marbledcrayfish.com/ sells the marbled crays out of Texas! Another important point is that I believe its the buyers responsibility to know if the critters are legal in their state. That said from what I know there are only 3 states that have a ban on the marbeld crayfish specifically, 1 that bans crayfish and another that bans everything not in their "allowed list" (IE: they tell the people of their state what they can have)
