incandescent hood for spiral cf

does anyone have the 20 or 16 inch hood
its two bulbs each right? how many watts can it hold?
has anyone tried spiral bulbs ?

they sell those hoods at wally world or petland discount for $20-25. Yes 2 bulbs and normally 14w bulbs can fit without a problem. In order to use bigger 27w bulbs you have to take out the reflector. Spiral bulbs are the way to go.

mine has a sticker that says each bulb can't be more than 25 watts, and my wally world sells small 20watt 6500k spiral fluorescent bulbs that fit in there, but the wally world down the road doesn't for some reason. just so you know that yours might not have the smaller ones.

Don't worry too much about that; it's referring to incandescent lights which generate a lot more heat per watt (that's why they're far less efficient for producing light)

Agreed, I bought the Aquatech hood for maybe $20 at Wally world.
