Indoor Pond Construction 10x20x4ft

I am trying to build an indoor above ground pond with deminsions about 10ft wide, 20ft long, and about 4ft deep. I am thinking I want to build the frame out of wood and then line it with a flexible liner.
I am not sure how sturdy the structure has to be to hold all that water. Does anyone have a formula as to how much pressure the water will exude on the walls of the above ground pond? or any advice on what type of design is needed for the walls to be strong enought to hold the waters weight?

Have you considered buying an above ground swimming pool of similiar dimensions. Also, are you setting it up on a slab. Crawlspace or basement type construction might not bear the weight. If my formula is correct you are talking about over 40,000 pounds.

I have been looking into above ground swimming pools, although the seem like they are about 4x the price of if I built it with wood and a liner.
Do you know a good source for the above ground pool, also are the liners they use suitable for fish?

Thats about right....

Placing that much on a floor not built to handle the weight is suicide.
Building a pond that big out of wood is going to cost a hefty amount.
Does it have to be inside and/or that big?
