Well, in that case, it's confirmed. I just witnessed a little red thing coming out of the puffer's gills. Definite gill flukes.
What's the best remedy for such a parasite? I'm reading on copper sulfate, but is that safe?

PM Pufferpunk ask her, but i believe copper is bad for puffers.
I searched through the forum and found this written by pufferpunk.
"Puffers are wild-caught fish & a lot of them come in with internal parasites. I treat all my questionable puffers with Discomed, by Aquatronics. If you can't find it at your lfs, you can order it (& lots of other goodies) at www.bigalsonline.com. You will need to soak his food in it & feed 2x/day for a week."
