Info needed about Peru Altum Angels

I have some and they are great fish..they are not a large as true altums but they are different from your normal P.Scalare close to looking like silvers but have definite coloration differences

one of my wild Scalare was extremely aggressive...
beat the crap out of everything in the tank..even the BN's hide from him

I've never really lost altums or had problems with them (knock on wood) but then again, I didn't know if they were recent imports or if they were held a while and properly quarantined before I bought them. When I do get angels or discus, I immediately give them a dip in acriflavine and then put them in a well aged aquarium and crank up the temperature to around 90 degrees Fahrenheit with plenty of aeration and water changes for a week. They usually perk up pretty well after a nice heat treatment. That's just the way I've done it and it's worked for me...YMMV. Good luck with those awesome fish...put up pics please. :)

Well I just got back from the LFS and got some harleys and a molly, no altums yet.
But the guy said that they are actual altums, not peruvian. But I can still choose between the 2. Theyre all juveniles in the shop though
