Ditto. While I understand banding to fight a common enemy, PETA targets many things I can't support, including the entire aquarium keeping hobby, and the pet industry in general. They don't think we should have aquariums, cats, dogs, turtles, snakes, lizards, gerbils, rats--any kind of pet or farm animal. That's a bit too extreme for my tastes.
I prefer to vote with my pocket book--I don't buy fish or supplies from places that sell painted fish.

PETA hates us...and they hate the idea of rehabbing sick wildlife (for Goodness sake, we're making their lives better...and it's still a bad thing!?!?!?!?!?!)...and keeping any pets...I don't listen to them, but vote with the pocketbook as OG stated.
I have also seen Mixed Fruit Tetras in Wal-Mart stores, although they only seem to appear in the Superstores. By the way, one visit there shocked me-there were several skeletons of Neons lying on the bottom.
They'd hate me! lol My dad & I rescued a baby bird the other day, it couldn't fly- without touching it we got it onto a wooden plank and lifted it back to its nest. Now if that's wrong, I don't know what's right!
