I have a female Blue Gourami who kept staying near the heater in the tank. When I moved her to a bigger tank I noticed her tail fin was burned and a spot on her side appears to be burned also. Is there any way I can help her???:help: Also, one of her labyrinth organs? is burned most of the way off.
What is the temperature in your tank? is it so cold he has to hang out on the heater?
I don't know if there is alot you can do. Generally, with fish injuries you can't do much. Feed good quality frozen foods/live foods. these can do wonders for fish health/growth.
my bosemani rainbow freaked out during a water change and ripped off a whole bunch of his nice yellow scales. it was bad. a week later. you can't even tell. he's healed nicely. I fed him frozen bloodworms, live blackworms, and frozen brine shrimp.
BTW, i dont think it is the labarynth organ that has be injured. if the fish was burned to that point it would most likley be dead because the labarynth organ lies behind the gills in the fish's head.
