I'd like to use the ETH inline heater on the return line of my Fluval 305. My concern is the ribbed hoses on the Fluval. As far as I know they are the only manufacturer who use such hoses. Has anyone used an ETH with the Fluval lines? Will they seal properly?

You can replace those lines with drinking water hose from an R/V supplier or similar, those ribbed hoses are a PITA.

connect a length of 5/8" vinyl tubing between the aquastop valve and the heater, hook the rubber end of the ribbed tube onto the end of the heater into your tank.

the fluval hose can be replace with eheim hose , and then you can use the better eheim filter intake and outputs
