What inspired you to do fish keeping well for me it was when i saw finding nemo,ps im only 14 and my first tank was a 5 gallon starter kit,I remeber those days now i upgraded to a 55.

Well, i know this sounds weird comming from a 24 year old, but i was inspired by the tank my parents set up in my bedroom when i was a child (5 or 6 ish). We left the light on 24/7 (i know, bad idea, alge was always a problem) and it acted as my night light. When i was scared at night i would look at my fish and everything seemed ok again because they didnt look scared. To this day, i still find watching my fish very relaxing. gotta go, in the middle of a water change. (love the python)

Mmm, I set up a 10g once years ago just to have some activity in my room. Only planning on spending $50 or so, I stuck a single male betta and a pair of ottos in it. $60 worth of tank accessories later, I had an inkling I was in trouble ;). I'm currently up to 10 tanks, and I'm approaching 4 figures insofar as cost of tanks, accessories, decoration, fish, etc. etc. etc.

probably many years ago when i was younger, i started out with the old many goldfish in the bowl thing. as you may know, that didn't last too long and i eventually stopped. last year, my bestfriend asked me what i would like as a christmas gift, and i don't remember why, but i wanted to get back into the aquarium hobby. so i got a 10G starter and some beautiful red & white comets (made same mistake, even years later. they were some beautiful goldfish, sad they died 6 months later). long story short, i now have a 10G and 20G and im still learning each day.

I had a tank years back, was reinspired by my brothers aquarium. Awsome thing.. bought a 55G at goodwill when we returned home :)

I wanted a pet that would be easy for my son to take care of, so I got him a Betta about 2 years ago. From that I am now the owner of 4 tanks (5 gallon, 10 gallon, 20 gallon, and 55 gallon) and the future owner of a 300 gallon tank.

EDIT: Also it is amazing what you will do to make sure that 30 fish survive a almost 3000 mile move via UHaul.

my dad has been keeping fish since he was 12, 45 now, growing up around fishtanks is what inspired me :D, i got my fist tank when i was 7, a 10gal starter kit, i had a pair of black mollies and a few neons, i've been hooked ever since...i cant rmember a time where i didnt at least have one tank..i have 8 now :D, mostly cichlids except in my planted, mostly tetras and cherry barbs

well, i've grown up around aquariums, and this 10G (see sig) is my first tank i've built on my own. I my parents were both aquarium enthusiasts, so I already pretty much knew what to do with the tank on stocking, ect., and i've learned most that I know from them, but almost as much here. even with my mother's wisdom, I don't think i'd have pulled off this tank if it wasn't for AC! :D

hrm, i probably have the oddest reason. i got a betta for an ex bf who eventually dropped at my doorstep as a way of breaking up. i got a 10 gallon to keep it in, but the reason im STILL in fish keeping, is because of my soical anxiety. it sometimes feels like its the only thing i have control over. and i can spend hours upgrading and moving things around. i really love it.
