prime is the best dechlorinator, I don't think there is any disadvantage to it.

I use Prime as well, I started with a small bottle but when it went empty I got a bigger one and just replaced the dropper cap from the small to the big one, great stuff.

I think the majority of fish keepers here use Prime, myself included.
