insufficient tank stand

i use cinder blocks for my 30 as well (without the extra shelving) and like it a lot, though if you are worried about having little ones around, the cinder blocks have rough edges, and hurts more when you stub a toe than a normal wood stand.

Ive moved my 20g a few times by removing everything I can, but leaving a few inches of water and the fish and plants. Quickly move it somewhere and refill, or put an air stone in it, and quickly setup your new stand and put the tank on it and fill it.

I've done this a few times with no problems.

Attatching the stand to the studs is a good idea. Sometimes my dogs knock my tank and it shakes. Fish probably think it's an earthquake or something. :D
