intake tube too short for 37 gallon

I'm starting to setup my 37gallon tank. I noticed the intake tube for the filter (penguin 200) is too short. Do I need to buy an extension or will this be okay?

+1 for running it. It's not vital that it be very near the substrate.

If you would like an extension, I have some I can mail you for the cost of shipping...I don't use them in a few of my tanks, where plants are growing under the filter output

ya that will work fine, I have had one myself for almost 2 years and it works good.

It would be a problem if it were too long, but short is fine.
