i guess in the same vein of questioning. Can you at least get a good balance of predator fish and prey fish? Even if the prey need to be stocked from time to time. I like the egg crate separator idea.

Does anyone have a tank like that? I place where maybe a large community was set up and then a juvenile/fry aggressive fish was introduced at such a young age that it never or rarely attacked the prey fish, I guess getting old couples almost?

I'm rambling...it's late here..just thinking thoughts.

Hmm what if there was a barrier that predictor's couldn't cross? something like eggcrate? you would need a whole bunch of neon's and as their population gets too big they swim out into the open waters with a angle waiting????

i would use guppy though , breed fast, 8 females 2 males , give or take 30 babies a fish x 8 females is 240 babies a month
