Actually they aren't mine. They are my sisters....well they are at my house awaiting her 55 to be set up. Long story short...I found them in very bad tank conditions, pump wasn't running and water was almost brown. I got them out immediately. Took them home and set up a spare 20 I had. yeah I knwo not the best of conditions but better then what they were in. Anyway they've been in there for about two weeks and yersterday I noticed red streaks on their fins. now I haven't had a chance to test the water cause I've been remodeling a kitchen all weekend but I will get to it tonight. Anyway, what could this be and how bad can it be? Thanks.

PS - These are fancy goldfish.

i think someone posted a similiar question about a disease. I can't find the thread but I believe he used miracyn2 to treat it ... try to find the thread.

I was the one who posted about this a few days ago. From the research I have done bleeding in the fins is usually one of two things (I am sure there are others, but these are the most common), either septicemia (bacteria infection) or an internal parasite. Here is the link to my original post, you may find some of what I am trying and what others have said beneficial.
