I have been having fun photographing my calvus fry. There is a little dude that I have named "Butkus" after the meanest linebacker to ever play the game of football

In any event, Butkus likes guarding a hole in a rock. It's his and he likes to let others know it. This gives me a great photographic ambush spot to capture some major altolamp personality. Here are a few pics of Butkus, I'll post more later. Hope you like

Wow! Those are some great pictures.

beautiful fish and really amazing pictures...

if you don't mind which camera and lens are you using... also if you'd like to share the settings :)

Here's my gear specs...
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T2i (18 mega pixel)
Lens: EF-S 18-55 IS
Mode: Automatic :o (I am a newbe with a DSLR)

I use Paint Shop Pro to adjust brightness/contrast, adjust color balance, crop, resize, sharpen, and insert text (Razzo).

Thank you for the kind words :)

Russ

Heh, do you do homecalls for teaching a aquarium mom how to photograph fish? Mine are always wiggly....I checked out the helping/teaching video provided here...

Nice fish! I've never seen anything like that. Butkus definitely has the best piece of real estate in that tank. Congrats on growing up so many fish!

Those are amazing shots & entertaining! I love seeing all the great photos everyone puts on here and I am sure it is time consuming to adjust them all. One day I will have a decent camera, get decent shots and share them too! :)

Well, one day I will have a decent camera too; but I don't think I'll get decent shots as Razzo does.
