Here are pictures of my first-ever Invert only tank that has cherry shrimp, ramshorn hitchikers and 2 MTS. I started this tank as a driftwood sinking tank, but then Ramshorns somehow got into this and started reproducing like mad, so I though about turning that tank as an invert tank. I had 20 dollars, a butt-load of Java moss, and some extra supplies, so I said why not? I emptied the existing tank and got rid of the old gravel I had when I first had fish and replaced with a dark playsand I found at lowe's. I moved my driftwood sinking station to a cooler outside but I kept a couple I found from a river in Central Oregon. I had an eclipse system I got for free left over so I thought I would set it up for light/ filtration.
Here I was just tinkering with wood positions and setting up the light/filter top. I later found out that the filter was too powerful, so I opted for a sponge filter. You can see a couple of Ramshorn snails under the water line.

I had a lot of Java moss from my other tank that I trimmed so I put it in here after it filled up. Still cloudy from the sand that no matter how much you wash it, it still clouds the water. Nothing in here except for a few snails. This is actually the first time I set up a sponge filter, and it was actually extremely easy to do so. I just thought that the air coming out of the tube pushes water up from the bottom, and since there was a sponge there, it would have to filter out the water.

Here it is after 3 days of setting it up. I had some baby Anubias sprouting off my main Anubias, ao I set them on a piece of wood and let them grow in here. I also added a handful of established sand which is where I found 2 MTS snails in the sand.
At this time, I had ordered my Cherry Shrimp, but I had not yet received them. I was supposed to get them on the same day I took the picture, but for some reason they didn't come yet. I had ordered on monday, shipped on wednesday and it was now friday. Saturday, no shrimp. I checked with the post office and they said that they didn't get any boxes for me. The following day, it was a sunday, so nothing happened. At this point, I thought they were cooked in their bag from the heat on the weekend, so it was my surprise when on monday, I picked up the mail, opened the box and found a very warm breather bag with 20 little shrimp swimming around frantically.

More pictures later.
