Inverts w/ comets

Crays would probably eat the goldfish while they rest at night(except dwarfs and very young crays), shrimp will get eaten unless they are bamboo, vampire ect.

I suggest you don't get any, shrimp are very sensitive, and with all of the goldfish in your tank any nitrites or ammonia will hurt them, if not kill them.

But if you really want to try, I suggest ghost shrimp, since they cost so little... but keep up on your WC's ;)

Ok, was just hoping for some diversity. When the comets get big enough some will go in our pond, it's probably 50,000g. I'd rather not get any shrimp in the tank if their just gonna feed the comets.

I agree with bettagurl. But you could try ghost shrimp. my LFS has em for 1.25 for the dozen.

Ghost shrimp will get eaten.
Really, anything small enough to fit in the goldfishes mouth will get eaten.
Any crayfish larger then a goldfish mouth will probably eat the goldfish.

You could put a snail in there though most likely.
Course it's a bad idea to put most aquarium snails in an outdoor pond.

only large snails though. anything bite-sized will be gone.

can apple snails survive in coldwater?

Define coldwater, please.

If you keep it above 60*, they'll be fine.
