Iodine for freshwater shrimp?

I haven't tried Tiger Barbs with shrimp yet (chicken, yup). Cherry Barbs are fine with Amanos and Neocardinas of a couple of species, but they are milder than Tiger Barbs.

I can't predict - it turns out I left Rednose in the tank turned over to the dwarf puffers - they are fine together. But DPs sometimes kill and eat Ghosts - go figure.

I can attest to the benefits of Reef Iodine (I use Kent's). My M. lahs grew considerably better and faster under regular iodine treatments. I have shrimp of some nature in all of my tanks, and I almost never have shrimp death... but the lil' freaks ust keep getting bigger and bigger. I even saw my first cherry shrimp molt this morning (they got a water change and 7 drops of Iodine just yesterday morning).

What about this...?

Do NOT put cherry shrimp and Amanos together in any large concentrations. I had 17 Amanos and 12 cherrys in a 55G about 2 months ago.

Two weeks later, not a cherry in sight. And nothing else in the tank was large enough to take out the cherrys. GL.

Are you trying to make me lose sleep?
