Iridescent shark help

I've been looking for a new forum and this one seems good... Ok now I need some help. I got a 125g in Aug. and I was told by my lfs that my Iridescent sharks would take some time to get use to haveing more space to swim. They got moved from a long 30g. However they still only swim in 3feet of tank space. They are the biggest fish in my tank. They are about 6,7,8,9 inches i guess. I'm a women and I don't do mesurments and they won't stay still long enough for me to use the tape mesure The other fish I have are 3 roseline sharks
9 rainbows of different types
2 angels
2 kribs
3 gold alge eaters
6 triangel fish (very small)
1 black gohst knife
alot of whiteclouds
1 molly
Are the other fish the problem? Help me please i got the bigger tank so they would have room to swim. And i was told they only got 4 inches(all lies) but I love them so I will keep getting a bigger tank as needed.

I hope you plan to get a truly LARGE tank!! ID sharks get GINORMOUSE! Like 200 pounds.

Oh I have been looking into it and the biggest one i have found only got to 18 inches in captivity but yes I will get as big of a tank as needed. I have had them for 4 years and they have slowed way down on there growing. I have time.

they shouldnt be sold. they need ponds not tanks. they will grow and grow until they go so big they can break the glass of your tank by bashing their head on it.

OHHHHH..... a 450g that would be nice. I don't think my floorboards coulf take the weight. Where are you putting it?

Shagmaster is right, if you really like them, return them, and if you can find them, you can get debawi cats, there a schooling fish that looks just like the Iridescent sharks, but they only grow to about 4 inches.

I agree they shouldnt be sold. I was told 4 in. If i knew thay got so big i wouldn't have gotten they. But I have them now and i have to take care of them.

or you can find someone with the room to take them. i have found homes for many rescued fish.

Got any ideas where to find new homes? I live in a somewhat small city. The lfs wont take in fish that big. I had to special order my tank because no one keeps them in stock. I guess I could try the paper but I don't think i'll have much luck. anyhow i will get a bigger tank when needed. but right now they don't even swim in 1/2 of the tank.

craigslist worked for me. just be warned. i am pretty sure thats the fish i have read story's of crashing and breaking the sides of fish tanks. in the wild the get what 3 feet.

didnt read all your list. ghost knifes get really long 2 feet maybe more maybe less. i think they need 200 gal min.
