i have an Iridescent Shark in my 90g. today he was kinda just laying at the bottom of the tank. not sure if was just just chilling or something was up. he useaully just stays on one side of the tank in one little portion. bnut today he was laying kinda on a plant kinda like he was laying his head down. i put a worm in there but he didn't see it. so i went to get it back out and i spooked him and he swam around pretty crazy like for a second then went right to the same spot. we have had him for about 6 months now. we had two but one die right after we got it. also what can i get to make more of current in the tank. right now i have a aquaclear 500 it makes pretty good movement of the water along with my small whisper filter. thanks, i'm kinda new at this but trying to learn. all the lfs i ask question too never have a striaght answer. hell the guy today said he didn't he have fish but worked in the fish department. so here i am to ask questions.

Not really sure what your question is aside from how to make more current. A couple of powerheads will give you lots of current. But a lot of fish don't like a lot of current, so be careful. I only have had one irridescent shark. He competed with my pleco for spirluna pellets. I had to get rid of him when he got a foot long. FYI and forgive me if you already know this. The irridescent shark is a schooling catfish that gets HUGE. I'm talking swimming pool size. I hope you have a really heavy hood or a brick on top because they are also very skittish, bouncing off the walls & hood when startled. I don't know if it was just mine or all of them are not predatory, but I kept mine with small tetras and never had a problem as long as the other fish were fast enough to get out of his way when he went nuts.
Hope this helps.

he was just acting really weird for awhile. as in just laying at the bottom of the tank. about a week later he started to look like a saltine cracker. so he had ich and i got rid of that now he is up and running again lol. hood is heavy for sure like 50lbs or better.

i've had him for awhile. he didn't cause the desease he just cought it. i bought a new fish the other day and didn't think about it and pour the water from the fish store into my tank. i know now thats a no no lol. but i buy all my fish from this store and never had any bad luck before. he is a pretty calm guy like his little corner but swims from side to side every once in awhile.
