Is A Nitrate Level Of Zero OK ??

I just noticed one of my Serpe'swimming on it's side. I checked my water parameters and they are as follows:

Nitrite = 0
Ammonia = 0
NitrAte = 0

My nitrAte is usually at 10

So is having a zero NitrAte level ok ?

I highly doubt that. I used to have nitrate readings of about 10.
This is the 1st time this has happened

Do you have much algae in the tank because algae will consume nitrates.
What size is the tank?
How many / what type of fish do you have?

0 nitrate is only a problem if it is shortly accompanies by a spike in nitrites (suggesting that something crashed your cycle) Plants will consume nitrates, and depending on your fish load and whatever else, it's more than possible to reach a 0 nitrate level. Generally not good for the plants, but the fish won't notice.

Check your water params for the next few days to be sure, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.
