Is "Hannah Montana" overrated?

I think she is over rated but just like any "in" band/singer is.

Reminds me of the New Kids back in the day, they were everywhere. And some of them didn't end up smashing cars and flashing their bits to the cameras.

And I actually dig the song she did with her dad, "ready, set, don't go," but haven't heard any of her Disney Hannah Montana stuff. Not the channel I watch when I get home.

I haven't heard enough, or cared enough to really listen to most of her songs to actually form an opinion one way or another. If the kids like it, more power to them.

i havnt really heard a lot of her songs, and the only songs ive heard from her were at my aunts house when i was babysitting.. but i see her face everywhere. paper plates, ballons, notebooks, folders, posters, pillows, nail polish, every friggen thing. my little cousins idolize her. i think shes a tool. ive seen a clip of her performing when i was babysitting my cousins and shes just.. her completely unoriginal and overused choreography on stage.. idk something about her makes me want to hit her in the head with a baseball bat.
she is an abomination to music. shes milking it from a bunch of little kids. o man i could keep going.
i completely dislike her and vote extremely overrated.

No more over rated then all the other young singers like Hillary Duff, Britney Spears (back in the day) even going old school we could say the same about Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. Or any of the Boy bands.

Its really no different then American Idol or Making the Band.

Someone mentioned her face being everywhere.
If you can money off of it then why not. Its no worse then making money off the transformers or any other cartoon turned into a toy and movie.Or Larry the Cable guy and his Getr Done hats and Tshirts.

Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, is Billy Rays daughter so she had the advantage of having a foot in the door already. What I have seen of her tv show she sounds ok. I haven't heard much of anything else to base a decision on though.

Music is to commercialized. Give me back the days when bands played smokey bars till they were discovered.
