is hot glue ok in tank??

I have never tried hot glue and never will probably because I am paranoid of the effects. I was thinking aquarium silicon sealant as well.

Hot glue is pretty much a low temp melting plastic. It should be as safe as any other plastic of unknwon origins. At coolish temps underwater nothing "should" happen. That being said if you can wait the curing time out, silicon is probably the better way to go.

Have used it as well... no probs to my knowledge.
