I just can't tell from those photos, because I never see the snail from that angle, and I'd prefer not to pull it out of the tank if possible.

The penis sheath is not speckled like the foot of the snail, its a milky white color.

Okay, so you can see the curled up antenna, and the, and the oval structure to the left of that (which is speckled, I think) - that is what I thought might be the penis sheath. So what is it?

my guess is either anal opening/or place where eggs come from,.. that all that is left right?

Thanks dixienut. From the pictures I've found, it looks too big to be the anal opening or egg tube.

Maybe someone else will have an opinion.

That doesn't look like my golden boy's private parts. Do you have other snails, if it is a boy it will be getting on top of the others for sure.

Why not just pick the snail out and make it come out of the shell enough for you to see if it has a penis or not? The link posted by Rachel is excellent.
