Is it alright to do copper and hypo at the same time?

I wile be doing hypo. Can I use prime during this treatment?

I would make sure you use an air-stone while using prime. Have heard and read horror stories of it depleting oxygen in the tank and killing fish.

What does the airstone do? Where's the benefit? Is the it the bubbles in the water, or the bubbles breaking the surface of the water.

I ask, because I still running my shimmer and that is pumping bubbles through the water.
