Is it Blue Green Algae?

Whatever it is, three days of ethromycin hasn't disturbed it in the least. I find it mainly between the soil and the glass, as well as on the driftwood, where it has a dull green appearance and is very difficult to scrub off, unlike the algae that develops on the glass. Could this simply be normal algae?

bga should be easy to get off, sounds like spot algae to me. How long do you leave the lights on, is the tank planted, what is your maintenace routine?

BGA, in my experience, is pretty distinctive-looking - a bright blue-green colour.

And BGA stinks!
I mean that literally, It smells funky, Like uncooked Corn or something...
