But crown vics are legal as long as they don't have ant police decals or equipment on them

as mentioned above, the mercury marauder looks the same but is possibly better built and certainly better accessorized than a former police car, and you won;t have to repaint the roof

The regular spotlight is perfectly legal. You can't have the siren or red/blue lights at all though.

We have a 1978 Kawasaki 1000 CHiPs motorbike - it was one of the originals here in the city.....and the same goes - no lights or sirens, no radio. Goes like stink, tho!

It is if you have what is called the 8 pack installed.
that's the police engine, lighting and wiring kit.
And yes you can find them or rebuild them to cop standard, but don't lol
