As an aquarist, I am a fish breeder (my friends call me "fish pimp" because of this), a fish lover, a collector of odaballs. But as a fisher I love going on trips with my dad to his freind private farm (with that freind) and caching 10 pound catfish for food. the lake is full of them! you always get a cat,every castout. the only bad times are heavy winters and the breeding season, because the catfish you get every castout, is a 3 pound (at most) baby catfish.
Is it okay to eat fish?

Before our boat broke down my wife and I fished once a week, more during the flounder run. Nothing better than fresh, stuffed flounder. I see no hypocricy in keeping some fish and eating others. Besides, have you ever looked at a flounder up close? Ugly critters. Doing them a favor by eating them. It keeps them from seeing their reflections on the surface of still water and scaring themselves into suicide.

My fiance is a commercial fisherman in Kodiak, AK so as far as I'm concerned eat all the fish you want!! He'll just get payed more!! :joke: But seriously I eat fish, don't see anything wrong with it, it's the way the food chain has been for hundreds of thousands of years. :dance:
If god didn't want us to eat animals..... he wouldn't have made them out of meat!!
