I have some picutres of my sick jag. The water in the tank was very bad and I just took out the undergravel filter. The water seems to be better now since he has his fins spread out and not bunched together. The water is also much clearer.

The problem is that he isn't eating and has cloudy eyes. The weird part about the eyes is that they only look cloudy from certain angles. In some pics they are cloudy, and in some they look normal. There is also a white line arond his eyes.

Here are the pics:

Anyone know how I can fix his eyes? Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated. Thanks for the help.

Your pics aren't working.

His eyes look fine...

In all the time I had him, his eyes have been perfectly clear. Now there is a cloudy spot in each eye. You can only see it from certain agnles. In pic #5 he looks just fine, but in all the reast they are cloudy.

He seems to be moving around more but still isn't eating so much. I'm kind of worried because he is really thin too.

In this pic, the fish has no cloudiness what so ever. Its about the same angle as the pics I took.

Cloudy eyes can mean a few things, my poor discus have flukes, and have clouded eyes...

So anyone know how I can get his eyes back to normal? And if it isn't pop eyes, what is it? Could this be life threatening?

He does seem to be moving a lot now and is digging in the gravel. But his eyes still look about the same.

what temp you got your tank at?

Well the termometer says 89 but I'm not usre if its right. Its a sticker thermometer thats very old. I have an ebo-jaber heater set on #7. The only complaint about these heaters I have is I don't know what temperature the numbers stand for. Does anyone have one of these heaters and know what a #7 is? I set it a long time ago and I know it was for the high 70's. But there heater could have been bumped and the temp could have changed in 5+ years :-p

Also, I noticed that there is a white lining around the top of his eyes. I never noticed this before. You can see it in pic#3. They almost look like eyebrows :-p
