just got a new 6.5 gallon tank in a kit with hood, light, filter.

i put plants in it so i got a flora-glo 18" 15 watt t-8 and when i went to change the bulb i found that the bulb in there is labeled- "plant bulb 15 watt, t-8"

is it possible this bulb will work for my lowlight plant in this little tank?

or should i assume that it's not as high quality as the flora-glo?

What brand? Sounds like a great buy.

boy that's a good Q i can't remember

but the tank dementions are 9" tall 23.5" long and i can't remeber how deep maybe 8" the front pannel has a convex shape to it- not quite as dramatic as bow-front tanks but it has a lovely effect on the fewing pannel.

the little hang on the back filter that came with it is nice too- i just changed the media in it to my liking

i got it at petco - believe it or not the one by work has a better plant selection than my LFS so i spotted it on a plant run, and then when i found my new betta i knew i wanted this tank.
