So I've had this 180g that I picked up from craigslist back in March but I haven't had anytime to clean it or set it up for the last 8 months. I'd really like to get it up an running before the new year and I finally have some time this holiday week to spend some quality time with it.My stupid question is will I break anything if I crawl inside the monster to clean it? It's sitting on its stand and my arms won't reach everything. It would be much easier to use some elbow grease if I were inside the tank but I'm not sure if that would be a good idea or not. After 2 preganacies, I'm just over 160lbs; will it be okay for me to crawl around inside as long as I don't jump up and down?

eh, it might be but I like to err on the side of caution... you would think it could hold over 1500 lbs, but that is distributed weight.. I would get a step ladder and work it out...

I'd be cautious as well.

Perhaps you could take it off the stand and clean it on the floor?

I am going to say NO NO NO lol get someone to help you lift it down and lift it back up glass is unpredictable stuff :) or put a handle on a scrubbing brush im sure you will figure out a way but you would NEVER see me stand on glass (apprentice glazier)

Pics?

Sometimes you just gotta do it. I had to get in my 300 to put in decor. The key is to spread the weight out. Lay down a chunk of plywood or similar before you get in to help distribute your weight and reduce pressure at any one point.

I vote for taking it off the stand, putting it on the floor and cleaning it, or use a step ladder.

I would not want that glass breaking on me, especially if I was in it.

Im a 180 lb guy and I climbed in my 180 like it was a sand box. I wouldnt worry too much.
