Is it wrong to feed ghost shrimp to fish?

My figure 8 puffer loves ghost shrimp (or any shrimp for that matter !)

In a month or so I am going to start keeping brine shrimp around in the 1g tank my betta is currently in (finally switching tomorrow!). Then I can feed my fish live food as part of their diet. Hopefully I can do it when they are small bc they are more nutritional then.

why ask a question only to answer your self?

because thats my opinion not everyone elses. But yea I get what you mean. Poor little things all I hear is *Wack* *Crunch*. The bluegill enhaling super quickly is the wack sound. Its like a small vacuum. and the cruch is the exoskeleton of the shrimp being crushed by the Pharyngeal teeth.

Meh, they are mostly sold as feeder shrimp anyway. In nature they would probably have the same fate anyway.

you want to feed bbs if you want some nutrition the adults dont have much of anything going on nutrition wise.
A common misconception that should stop being spread. The chitin which composes the "nutritionally worhless" shell is a good source of protein to those creatures like fish that can metabolize it and is very important factor in the fin development of fish.

You may not be able to get the whole article, but it's in there.
