Is Java moss an easy plant?

There is no rule that says if you can grow Java fern you can grow Java moss. I used to grow both well in the same tanks but I guess as my Soilmaster select has aged only the moss grows well now and all my fern has died off.

Q

I am trying to find out what goes wrong in between. There is green stuff on my rocks. I used hydro. peroxide a few times but they come back. When this stuff comes back, Java fern and the mosses turn differently within a few days. I put goppies there hoping they can help but not much they can do. The stuff also does well when I dose fert.

I don't know how I can put all in balance. If I stop dosing fert, my pellia and anubias are not doing well.

Would a small pleco OK in such a moss tank? Please help

Here are the pics - Sorry for my old Canon as I tried to zoom the infected area. The stuff looks dark green. I also got Serofoam beneath the rock - hopefully it does not cause diatoms.

Lately my moss is doing fine. Java fern starts going green. Thank you all for your helps and comments.

I think it is java fern needle leaf. To much green in there, I got Tiger Lotus to the left trying to have something red. First, the moss look dark green; after I added 1 more bulb, it looks green.

I am trying to change the scape but hesitating since a lot of mulm down there whenever I pull any driftwood or rock

You remember the flobee (sp)?? Vac the same area you are messing with and suck the junk up the second it goes back into the column.
